Dr. R. S. Dubey currently works in the Department of Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence at SR University, located in Warangal, Telangana State, India. He did Ph.D. (Electronics) from Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (M.S.) in 2009, M.Tech. (VLSI) from Jawaharlal Technological University-Kakinada, (A.P.), B.Tech. (ECE) from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University-Indore (M.P.), M.Sc. (Electronics) from Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University-Jalgaon, (M.S.) and Bachelor's degree in B.Sc. (Electronics) from Devi Ahilya University-Indore (M.P.).
With a remarkable tenure of over 19 years in teaching and research, Dr. Dubey has held several academic, research and administrative positions throughout his career. He commenced his journey as an ad-hoc lecturer at Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University (Jalgaon) and subsequently served as ​Scientist B and Officer In-charge for the International Council of Quality Education and Research, based in New Delhi. Continuing his pursuit of knowledge, he then joined Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology in Narsapur, Andhra Pradesh, India as an Associate Professor (ECE). Dr. Dubey dedicated approximately 7 years of his service to this institution before being appointed as a Professor (ECE) in September 2018. Additionally, he has also held administrative positions like, Head of the Department of Nanotechnology, Research Coordinator and later Dean (R&D) at the same institute for contributing to the advancement of research and development.

Dr. Dubey played a crucial role in establishing the research environment at Swarnandhra Campus. He is the founder of the 'Nanotechnology Research Center,' previously named as the 'Advanced Research Laboratory for Nanomaterials and Devices.' This center was established in 2009 and boasts a cleanroom facility of class 10000, equipped with state-of-the-art instruments. Over the years, Dr. Dubey has successfully completed five extramural research projects sponsored by IACQER, DRDO & DST, UGC-Major, and UGC-DAE CSR (Phase-I and II) of worth 1.38 Cr. Additionally, he has one recently sanctioned project by the AICTE under the RPS scheme. Dr. Dubey’s DST-FIST proposal has been shortlisted for its final presentation of worth 1.5 Cr. Furthermore, Dr. Dubey has gained research collaborations with various esteemed universities and R&D laboratories.

He was also instrumental in initiating a new postgraduate course, M.Tech. in Nanotechnology, prior to the induction of the parent university (JNTUKakinada) in 2011.

Dr. Dubey has garnered numerous awards and accolades in recognition of his significant contributions to the fields of Electronics and Nanotechnology. He has been honoured with the Young Teacher's Award and the Indian Science Academy Visiting Fellowship Award. Additionally, he has received several best paper awards at various international conferences, highlighting the quality and impact of his research. Dr. Dubey's exceptional work has also been acknowledged through multiple achievements, such as receiving the INSA Collaborative Research Award, and the Reviewers Award presented by Elsevier, among others. In the early days of his Ph.D., Dr. Dubey was honoured with a Senior Research Fellowship sponsored by the DRDO.

At SR University, Dr. Dubey is involved in educating faculty members about research ethics, guiding newcomers on how to approach research work, and monitoring ongoing research projects across different departments. He continuously works on developing research policies, facilitating collaborations with renowned R&D centers and universities, and providing resources to support faculty members' research efforts. Additionally, he mentors individuals in writing research proposals for external funding agencies and consultancy projects, as well as in submitting utilization certificates for extramural projects. He guides in selecting WoS/SCI/Scopus journals and writing papers, fostering a research culture among faculty members, and guiding Ph.D. scholars. He also assists faculty members in developing their new ideas and guides them through the patenting process for the benefit of both the institute and the individual.

Throughout his career, Dr. Dubey has actively taken on various other, including serving as a member of the Board of Studies (BoS), National Board of Accreditation (NBA), National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and Autonomous committees. His involvement in these administrative roles reflects his commitment to academic governance and quality assurance in higher education.

Dr. Dubey has 239 research publications to his credit out of which 122 publications are in refereed journals, 103 in conference proceedings and 12 book chapters published by National/International publishers including 2 conference proceedings.

Dr. Dubey holds three patents to his credit, two Indian and another German patent. Additionally, he has five published patents. He has presented invited talks in various national and international conferences, workshops, and FDPs.
​
Dr. Dubey has guided four Ph.D. scholars, one scholar is awaiting the viva-voce and the other seven scholars are perusing. He has also served as supervisor for several UG and PG theses.
​
Dr. Dubey has organized various national and international conferences and FDPs, Seminars, etc. and served as convener of Research Advisory committee for many years. He has been a Resource Person in various FDPs, STTPs, Workshops and Seminars.
​
His research interest includes AI&ML Applications in Health care, Advanced Applications of IoT, Microstrip Patch Antennas, Thin Film Depositions for VLSI applications, Synthesis of Nanomaterials for Energy Applications, and Modelling/Simulation of Photonic Devices. He is a member of Optical Society of India, Optical Society of America, Accreditation Council of Quality Education, International Association of Engineers (IAENG), IEEE, and International Association of Computer Science and Information Technology (IACSIT).

Furthermore, Dr. Dubey actively contributes to the academic community by serving as a reviewer for esteemed journals published by reputable publishers such as Taylor & Francis, NISCAIR, BRILL, Elsevier, World Scientific Publisher, ACS, RSC, and more. His expertise and insights greatly benefit the scholarly evaluation and publication processes in these journals.

Dr. Dubey's remarkable achievements include being listed among the world's top 2% scientists, as recognized by Stanford University and Elsevier. This prestigious acknowledgement highlights the significant impact of Dr. Dubey's contributions in his respective field of expertise.
